Recently, Jingyuanbei Community in SIP’s Loufeng Sub-district hosted an event themed “Our Festival--Spring Festival” in collaboration with Suzhou Industrial Park Xinrong School, showcasing the charm of the cultures of different ethnic groups in China.

Residents from the community, including a group of children, staged performances of different ethnic groups. All the performers performed a song eulogizing ethnic unity together.

Then, a “journey of exploration” started, with different experiences offered in different zones. Participants had chances to listen to the Mongolian folk music played by morin khuur, try handicrafts and costumes of different ethnic groups, and sample various snacks. Many played the traditional games such as pitch-pot and cane ball.
